Cold-Pressed Juices + Why it is WAYYY Cooler Than Your Counter Juicer

Have you ever heard of cold pressed juicing? It seems like the hipster way of making juice, but it's actually pretty cool.

Cold pressed juicing is a method of extracting juice from fruits and vegetables that uses hydraulic pressure (Our's is named Bertha),  to slowly squeeze the juice out of the produce without generating heat. This process helps to preserve the natural vitamins, minerals, and enzymes present in the produce, which can be lost during traditional juicing methods. Plus, the resulting juice tastes amazing!

But wait, there's more! One of the main advantages of cold pressed juicing is that it produces a high-quality juice with a richer flavor and more vibrant color. But what happens to the juice after it's been pressed? Most cold pressed juices go through a process of pasteurization to extend their shelf life, and the most common method is high pressure processing (HPP).

HPP is a process (literally the best!) that uses high pressure to kill harmful bacteria and extend the shelf life of the juice. Unlike traditional pasteurization methods that use heat to kill bacteria, HPP preserves the nutrients and enzymes in the juice, making it a healthier option than many other store-bought juices that are heat pasteurized and may contain added sugars and preservatives.

Another significant advantage of cold pressed juicing is that it can help to support the body's natural detoxification processes. Many of the nutrients present in fresh fruits and vegetables help to support liver function, which is critical for detoxifying the body and maintaining overall health.

Cold pressed juice is a convenient and easy way to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet. And for those of us who can't stand the thought of eating a salad, drinking a cold pressed juice is a quick and easy way to get all those essential nutrients without having to chew through a pile of lettuce.

So the next time you're feeling parched, skip the sugary drinks and give cold pressed juicing a try. You might just be surprised at how tasty and refreshing it can be. Plus, you'll be doing your body a favor by getting all those vitamins and minerals. It's a win-win situation, my friend!
